Went to ophthalmologist today for my check up my e

Went to ophthalmologist today for my check up my eye with macular pucker/epiretinal membrane. Pretty much all good news. Turns out I’m not a candidate for the surgery, because it’s not severe enough to warrant the risk. (My last appointment, another doctor said I was a candidate for it.)And everything looks good for both eyes right now, in terms of the lasered on retinas. Now, I just have to shut my eyes until my pupils go back to normal.

Just a quick post to tell you I had a retinal tear (actually two) in my right eye on Sunday & had emergency laser surgery to repair it. I’m staying away from screens this week, so I won’t be on here much. Markers are ok, though. See you soon! Xo.

When I take the time and effort to hand draw an envelope for a customer, people probably think it is a waste of my time. I don’t think it is, at all. Here’s how I see it:

1) It provides me with a moment to put pen to paper in the midst of my work day of doing a bunch of other non-art stuff, and draw something fun for someone who, GUARANTEED, will highly appreciate it. ⚡️ (What’s more gratifying than that?)
.
2) I’m giving extra THANKS to someone who appreciates my creativity and my art enough to shop with me and to bring my art into their every day life!! ☀️ I mean, can you think of a better recipient than that? To my customers✍️ I APPRECIATE YOU! THANK YOU! 🍄 ⭐️ 🍃

Today, we got to see a bunch of family for the first time in the normal habitat, since the beginning of Covid, without masks! We celebrated my niece Kavya’s first birthday! 🥳 I drew her wrapping paper! I recorded the entire drawing of these three packages. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and the video is GONE 😱 like, totally disappeared, without a trace. I’ve looked everywhere. Gone. 😑 I hope it makes a surprise miracle reappearance. The ☁️ cloud ☁️ being what it is. 🌧 But, if it doesn’t, at least the few photos I took didn’t also vanish. Which one is your favorite? 🐅 , 🐈 🧶, 🐥 or 💜 ?

Creativity Takes Guts. That phrase is one of my life mottos. Every time I set out to do something SCARY, *that phrase* comes along and pitches a ⛺️ in my head. It also includes the word GUTS, which means strength, resilience and tenacity… but GUT also means INTUITION. Yup, the phrase “Listen to your GUT” is another ⛺️ -dweller in my head. Truth is, it was FIVE YEARS AGO when I first had the inclination to create a learning platform… and, since Day One, Creativity Takes Guts was the working title.
🙃Sometimes these things take time to materialize. 🪄 Let’s embrace the journey—it’s NEVER a straight line, but what FUN would it be if it WAS? 😁  🙏 Anyway, the new CTG platform will home to my new course Etsy P.O.D. for Artists: Personalize your P.O.D. as well as all other courses and resource products I release in the future.

What a week! I’m just putting the finishing piec

What a week! I’m just putting the finishing pieces together on my new course. Today, I went through all of the captions to correct/ revise them. In the process, I was forced to watch my course for the⭐️ 10,000th time ⭐️😬😬😬and I can confidently say ☀️ I AM SO PROUD of the work I’ve done and of the class. I LOVE IT 😻and I HOPE YOU DO, TOO and I HOPE IT HELPS OUT TONS of artists!!! On Etsy... OFF Etsy... but mostly ON Etsy, of course (target audience being what it is!) I hope you guys get as much out of it as I have put into it (and wait! Wait! I’m not QUITE done yet! But almost!) All that’s left NOW: EDIT the Outro, create the PDF Workbooks, and it’ll be a wrap. I PROMISE that my next course won’t take HALF as long as this one did. I had a lot going on in the past two years... Two new hips, COVID (thankfully never got it), lost my mom, so much more (some stuff I keep to myself, ya know.) Got my first Shingrix vaxx on Tuesday and got real

Got my first Shingrix vaxx on Tuesday and got really sick yesterday from it. There are two doses needed but the great thing is you never have to get it again after the two doses. The sickness was similar to the vaccine flu I got from Pfizer but not quite as bad. It’s going to take a couple days to feel myself again, if this vaxx flu follows the same trajectory as the last one. (Currently on the couch, no energy. I’ll get better soon.)
In other news, I’m almost done with a course which will be on Skillshare! It’s designed for artists on Etsy who currently use print-on-demand, or want to start. It’s focused on how to successfully TAKE CONTROL of the customer experience when so much (almost everything) is NOT in our control when using P.O.D. fulfillment. It FEELS SO GOOD to have the tools and the skills to CONTROL this aspect of P.O.D. shop culture. It makes for a very very happy community of customers who shop once, shop twice, and then keep coming back to you, so you can serve their needs again and again!! 🥰 💝 I’m excited to help others with this course!
